Finished pieces are only part of the story. What comes before is a slower process of observation, testing, and making.

Observations.

It rarely begins with a single image, but with an understanding of how materials change, adapt, and respond over time. Those traces continue to shape the work, returning through each stage of the making process.

Within the studio

What begins as curiosity is given time to develop. Notes, sketches, failed attempts, and unexpected connections exist alongside one another, allowing the work to evolve before any single direction is chosen.

Material & Making

Ideas rarely arrive fully formed. They are tested, questioned, revised, and sometimes abandoned before gradually finding their place. These pages capture fragments of that ongoing process, where observation, drawing, material studies, and making exist side by side.
