Sediment Coffee Table

Explores the quiet process through which loose fragments gradually settle into place. Inspired by the slow movement of sand along the shoreline, the piece reflects an interest in accumulation as a force of formation, where countless small shifts eventually give rise to a stable landscape.

Developed through casting, experimentation, and handcraft in Beirut, the work evolved through repeated studies of composition, surface, and finish. Cast brass and layered elements were carefully assembled and refined, allowing subtle variations in tone, texture, and depth to remain visible rather than being unified into a single surface.

Low and grounded, the table conveys a sense of stillness shaped through gradual change. Rather than emphasizing a single gesture, it reflects the quiet persistence through which landscapes are continuously formed over time.
