Trace Side Table

Began with an interest in the marks left behind by repeated actions. Rather than treating repetition as duplication, the piece explores how small variations accumulate over time, allowing difference to emerge through persistence rather than intention.

Developed through casting and handcraft in Beirut, the work evolved as individual elements were made, assembled, and refined into a continuous structure. No two units are entirely identical. Small shifts introduced through the making process remain visible, allowing the surface to carry the memory of how it came together instead of concealing it.

The resulting form is both dense and porous, where countless individual parts become inseparable from the whole. Trace reflects the collection’s broader interest in how time, labor, and repetition leave lasting evidence within material.
